Northland Foods & Distribution is based out of Poplar, WI 15 miles south of Duluth/Superior on Highway 2, Northland Foods was established in 1996. Along with our contract hauling, we are in the fresh perishable, frozen, dry storage and distribution business to foodservice, grocery retail accounts and many other full or LTL products nonfood related, In addition to our daily service in the Twin Ports and Surrounding area, our temperature controlled 53’ trailers and dry vans are servicing a radius of approximately 350 miles from, the Twin Ports area. This includes a minimum of twice weekly deliveries to the Mid-Northern sections of Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Our 40,000 Sq. Ft distribution center in Poplar currently includes frozen, perishable and dry receiving and storage. Our 22,000 sq ft. facility in Superior, WI is dedicated to frozen and perishable storage and cross-docks. Our backhaul and cross-dock program is growing as a result of keeping freight cost down for our customers and vendors. We do not charge any hidden cost such as introduction fees or slotting fees and we have ample room for growth in the perishable, frozen, grocery and warehouse storage business.
